    Your Scars

Everyone has a scar here and there. Do you have any particularly large and/or embarrassing ones?

My biggest scar is from a c-section. It's pretty well hidden though, so I am not embarrassed by it most of the time. Unfortunately, what hides it is excess belly fat, which in itself makes me much more self-conscious.

I have a large scar going down my neck and around my ear. They had to cut my ear of (mostly) to get at a tumor I had growing in my parotid gland. I just wear long hair to cover it up.

My biggest scar is from a C-Section as well. Like you said it is pretty well-hidden, but it still shows especially when I wear my favorite two-piece bikini. I really want it gone so I am currently asking my friends for suggestions on what creams to use to get rid of this big and long scar.

I'm also thinking that if I have the budget some time soon, I'll go for a more invasive yet more effective treatment such as the use of laser.
It is indeed true that each and every one of us has a scar that makes them a bit uncomfortable. I have one just above my elbow and it is so conspicuous that almost everyone I meet asks, ‘What happened to you?’

I had a really active childhood and one day I fell from a tree I had climbed to try and pluck some fruits. We grew up in a large farm and it was only until we moved to the city that I stopped being a bit active.

I am still looking for a scar removal cream that would eliminate it.

I had a face scar but I took care with some trusted products...it quite fade now..some therapies also helped..like
    1. Cleanse your face
    2. Smooth a glycolic acid toner over your skin. You can find such toners in drug stores now for less than $8US. This step is key because the glycolic acid will mildly "burn" the upper layers of the skin. This step will allow the silicone to better penetrate the skin, hyper-moisturize it and thus diminish the appearance of the scar(s).
    3. Apply an almond-sized amount of silicone to your entire face. Reapply the silicon-based moisturizer twice daily. Ideally, you would use a facial mist on your skin before applying the silicone to boost the moisture level of your skin.
    4. Repeat steps one through three twice daily, once in the morning and once at night to reduce the scar's appearance.

Silicon-based hair glossers typically will not leave you skin oily or clog your pores. In fact, the hair glosser should be so readily absorbed by your skin that with within 15 minutes of application, there are no visible traces of the moisturizer.

    Different Types of Acne

Scars from acne can seem like double punishment — first you had to deal with the pimples, now you have marks as a reminder.

It helps to understand the different kinds of acne so you can figure out what to do about different types of scarring: Acne lesions or pimples happen when the hair follicles (or "pores") on the skin become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. A plugged follicle is the perfect place for bacteria to grow and create the red bumps and pus-filled red bumps known as pimples.

    Acne comes in different forms:

mild acne, which refers to the whiteheads or blackheads that most of us get at various times
moderately severe acne, which includes red inflamed pimples called papules and red pimples with white centers called pustules
severe acne, which causes nodules — painful, pus-filled cysts or lumps — to appear under the skin

Most serious scarring is caused by the more severe forms of acne, with nodules more likely to leave permanent scars than other types of acne.

The best approach is to get treatment for acne soon after it appears to prevent further severe acne and more scarring. If you have nodules, see your doctor or dermatologist for treatment.

Scars occur when the thick layer of our skin the dermis layer is damaged. However scars need not be permanent.
