Apply your foundation first over your entire face before you start on your eye makeup. You need a good canvas to work with.When selecting eye shadow for blue eyes, it's best to use soft, subtle colours such as taupe and lilac.From your lash line up to your brow, cover the entire eyelid with a light eye shadow as base. A typical eye make up consists of this base and a medium, slightly darker shade on the lower eye lid.

Usually you put eyeliner on first. I would recommend putting it on the top outer corner for a cat eye, or on the bottom outer. Definitely do not put eyeliner around your whole eye, it looks really stupid.

For eyeshadow, don't go overboard, and don't put it in your inner corners. It just looks weird. Use a small brush to apply on your lid area.
For brown eyes, try green, purple, and gold. I have brown eyes too, that is why I know.
