    Alternative to Aloe

I hate getting sunburns because I have a terrible reaction to aloe. I have yet to find any alternative to use. Most of the sunburn relief products I find has aloe as an ingredient. Does anyone know of some other product I could use to get relief from sunburn?

This is a great question! I use vinegar (white vinegar not cider vinegar). I'm not sure what it is with vinegar but it takes the "hotness" and burning sensation out of the burn. I can remember as a child my mom putting cold vinegar on my back when it was burnt.

You soak cotton balls in white vinegar and then rub the sunburn areas. The relief is almost instant. You have to keep doing this several times throughout the first couple of days.

My daughter's skin does not like aloe either (odd) so we use vinegar when she gets a burn. It's a bit smelly but the relief is worth it.
