Exercise is the activity of one or more of the muscles of the body for better health and figure, increased skill and capacity in sports, or to restore muscles after illness, injury or birth defect.  Some people think of exercise only in terms of floor exercises designed to smooth the bulges due to overeating. However, exercise should be practiced regularly not only to give you more stamina and better health but to help you get rid of the ugly cellulite that most people are afraid of. It is considered that walking is the basic exercise you should adopt, particularly if you are just starting up. Unfortunately, walking is one of the most neglected forms of exercise, though one of the cheapest. Some people never learn the pleasures or reap the advantages of a good walk. Brisk walking early in the morning or late in the afternoon is one of the good means to reduce the appearance of cellulite because it can help maintain the quality of the muscles in your thighs as well as the buttocks area, which are usually affected by cellulite.

This is a type of cardio exercise that you should take into account if you want to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Swimming has the ability to work out each ounce of your muscles when you are in the water and this is also considered a good form of exercise if you want to protect your joints.

Tip #3:  Home exercise.

Even if you are at home, you can still practice basic exercises while you are watching television. You can try to perform some basic leg exercises while watching television; lay down on the floor; or gradually go up and down the stairs every day.  However, if your budget allows, buy a stationary bicycle to help you work out on your thighs.

Tip #4:  Strength train.

Integrate this type of exercise in your exercise program.  You can practice this two to three times a week. Some of the strength training exercises that you can incorporate in your exercise program include lunges with bicep curl, squats, shoulder press, and step-ups. These types of strength training will definitely help you reduce the appearance of cellulite because the quality of the muscles will improve and the elasticity of the skin will also be intensified.

Tip #5:  Run.

This type of exercise is considered one of the mainly efficient means to burn fat. As soon as your legs begin to gain lean muscle tissue and quality, cellulite will also start to fade away. Extensive running works well on your legs to eliminate the ugly cellulite. You can try to run at least 30 minutes daily 4 to 5 times each week.

Tip #6:  Plyometrics.

This type of exercise requires plenty of jumping and leaping motions. The rapid spasm of the muscle is useful in building power and quality to eliminate the look of cellulite. Plyometrics exercises aim on the lower part of your body like the quads, hamstrings, calves and buttocks to lessen the appearance of cellulite. You can practice this exercise twice a week.
