The many advantages of dry brushing include: eliminating cellulite; cleansing the lymphatic structure; eliminating dead skin coatings; making the immune system stronger; stimulating the hormone and oil producing glands; tightening the skin to prevent untimely aging; making the quality of your muscles better; stimulating circulation; enhancing the performance of the nervous system; aids digestion and most of all, it is considered as the simplest and cheapest way of rejuvenating your skin.

Tip #1:  Choose your brush.

Make sure to use a smooth natural fiber brush that has an elongated handle to be able to get through to the entire parts of your body. One of the better options is the brush that has a detachable head and strap.

Tip #2:  Do it with a waterless body.

Constantly dry brush your waterless and bare body prior to taking a bath or shower. This is to rinse off all the dirt from your skin that was shredded from the brushing movement.

Tip #3:  Dry brush from head to toe or vice-versa.

It is of no importance where to begin the process to remove cellulite with dry brushing as long as you brush your whole body. You should extensively rub beginning from the base of your feet going up, and from your hand up to your shoulders, and on the chest going up to aid pump out the lymph back to your heart. It is important to utilize weightless force over the parts of the skin that are skinny and firm force on parts such as the soles of your feet.

Tip #4:  Do it once a day.

You should skin brush only once daily, particularly during early morning. Brushing the skin comprehensively will take around 15 minutes. If you are not feeling well, intensifying the brushing two times daily is considered excellent. You must dry brush the parts of your body with cellulite from 5 to 10 minutes two times daily to obtain cellulite melting. However, the process should be performed consistently for at least five months.

Tip #5:  Remember a few more tips.

Keep away from brushing thin-skinned parts of your body as well as broken skin like skin rash, lesions, and infectivity. When you get out of the shower, make sure to dry your skin and rubdown your skin using pure plant oil like olive, avocado, apricot, almond, sesame, coconut or cocoa butter. Sanitize your skin brush with soap and water at least once weekly then dry it in open air and under a sunny place to avoid mildew development.

I’d like to see some evidence as to how this removes cellulite. I’m really not convinced.

  • Michellemars

Works great. I’ve been dry brushing for quite a while now. Skin feels great and really helps with digestive system.

  • Michellemars

But I do only a max of 3 min. Doesn’t take long at all! And I was taught to do twice a day. Once at night before going to bed and then in the morning before my shower.

Dry brush, shower, rub in baby oil, then tanning oil = streak free tan. It works!

It is also relaxing and helps you go to sleep. My dad would bring home surgical scrubbers from the hospital and brush me to sleep when I was a kid.

An obvious ad placed by the manufacturer of this product and not an actual review.

After seeing the water retention that is caused by lumphodema (a friend had 30+ lymph nodes removed during stage 3a cancer battle where it metasticized), I am fully convinced about cleansing the lymph system & caring for it!! When they are gone it causes major swelling & no drainage. My friend’s leg above where they were removed is almost twice the size it should be. Cleanse your lymph system by brushing. I started in 2009 after having a body wrap done just before my wedding, and all throughout my pregnancy where I remained very healthy. Do your research & you’llfind this along with a healthy lifestyle can make a big impact on your immunity, health, mood. & more.

  • Erin

    Sorry, typing on mobile…*lymphodema

  • Emme

I agree on this. I too had breast cancer and had all the lymph nodes removed under my right arm. Lymphodema really sucks! Dry brushing works if done right. I brush twice daily, especially before bed. I can feel the blood circulating which helps me sleep better.

Is it bad if I just do it on my legs?

  • Michelle

This will not remove cellulite! It may remove the appearance of cellulite for as long as you use it, but that’s it.

    1st: cellulite is
not caused by lymph system not draining. Believing this claim is like saying
you can make a bigger fire by adding water to it.

Dry brushing will do two things: 1) exfoliates the skin and
    2) helps with blood flow on the area that you message. This two will results in better looking skin
and you just really need to do it once a week.

For drainage of your lymph nodes you can do two things 1) exercise
    2) raise your feet against a wall for 15 minutes daily (use of gravity).

Your lymphs drain if u do these things or not. Believe me if
not that means there is major medical problem like cancer or something else. Lymph
is like a strainer in the body. The body fluids goes through it and good stuff passes
through and bad stuff like toxins and cancer cells get trapped and then lymph
becomes swollen and we know there is a problem.
See this doesn’t have anything to do with cellulite.
