Treating a rough feet is so easy. You just need to combine aspirin and lemon to make your feet smooth. This combination will soften the calluses which usually form on your feet. Calluses often appear on parts of the feet which are always exposed to friction and pressure that help protect your feet. However, natural protections are sometimes very ugly to look at and can even be painful especially if it causes your heels to crack. You must give yourself time to pamper your feet and get rid of these unsightly calluses. For some people, calluses on hands and feet can be very disappointing, especially on hands or other areas that can be touched frequently. Calluses are not really an embarrassing thing but with today’s standard of beauty, having a beautiful and soft skin is a must especially for women. Let us then discover how to get rid of rough feet with aspirin.
Tip #1: Prepare all the necessary things that you’ll need.
You will need items such as 5 aspirin tablets, ½ tsp lemon juice, ½ tsp water, towel or old socks. Get a bowl and crush 5 aspirin tablets and mix them with ½ teaspoon water with ½ teaspoon lemon juice. Make a thick paste.
Tip #2: Apply the mixture you have made.
Apply the paste on areas of your skin with calluses, especially on your heels. You can also use this for your hands, depending where your calluses are. Then wrap your feet using plastic wrap and tie it around the top. Place a hot towel or old socks so that the skin will fully absorb the mixture.
Tip #3: Keep your feet elevated and relax for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove the old socks or towels and remove the paste using a wet wash cloth. And to remove the dead skin, use a pumice stone to aid in the removal of your calluses. Spread some moisturizing cream and put on new socks. Perform this treatment every day until you get the result you want and maintain this by doing it once a week. The salicylic acid ingredient in the aspirin is the one responsible that loosens the hard skin. Do not use this natural remedy if you are allergic to aspirin.
Tip #4: Know what causes rough feet.
Calluses often form due to constant contact with something. If you are constantly wearing high heeled shoes for instance, the heels will be prone to calluses since it creates friction and pressure with the shoes every time you walk or stand. People whose jobs require constant involvement of feet and hands are also susceptible to develop tough skins on hands and feet. For example, a guitarist can easily develop calluses on fingers because of the friction and constant contact with guitar strings on the fingers.
Calluses are not harmful, but they are quite the opposite actually because this is our body’s natural way to protect our skin from getting injured due to constant pressure. Without calluses, your body will be prone to laceration and infection. The calluses are there to protect you. But if you want to get rid of rough feet, you can try the method mentioned above.
